Film and television editor and famous killer of basil plants, Colin Johnson began his career in the industry like many of the greats, rooted behind the counter of a video rental store. Once Johnson graduated high school, his career in entertainment began in earnest, working in a bar. Oh the stories you’d hear. After college, Colin embarked on his editorial journey in the fast paced reality world, working for such fan favorites as MTV’s Parental Control, Bravo’s Real Housewives of New York, and ABC’s Supernanny. From there he moved to scripted comedies, editing on such iconic shows as The Office, and lesser know shows, such as Where’s Bunny; a heartbreaking tale of a lost stuffy written and directed by Johnson’s 5 year old daughter. Spoiler alert, the sister stole it. Nowadays, you can find Colin drawing with his children on napkins, editing the perfect spit take, or sitting 6 inches away from his television…. talking to the characters.
